Many people have a mindset that promoting a website means getting numerous back links from directories, social networking sites, blogs or opting in for PPC campaign and affiliate marketing, like most SEO experts suggest. At one point, these are all necessary steps, but optimizing a website on Google takes a lot more than just getting a number of back links.

It can be frustrating trying to promote website traffic while not breaking any of the rules of the searches. You have to use meta tags and keywords properly, your content has to be unique and informative, images should have descriptive names, each page on your website named according to what it offers or does, there are many things to tend to when you promote website visibility.

Meta tags like keyword and description should also be clear and talks about your webpage content. Description helps search engines as well as users to guess a little about your webpage content. It tells about the content of your webpage and a well written description can put your website apart from your competitors.

Seriously though, your articles have to be good and well written, and there are a number of ways to achieve good website promotion through using articles. If you know how to promote your website properly, then you are already likely to be using articles, but how are you using them and are they giving you the results you are looking for? Likely not, if you are just an amateur writer, because Google is getting clever - or perhaps the word should be cleverer.
